Not only will you have access to our private lakes, which is perfect for family picnics and secluded fishing spots. All the self-catering accommodation runs adjacent to the famous canal and riverside towpaths between Bridgwater and Taunton. All planned routes start from the Boat and Anchor public house only ten minutes walk from the holiday cottages. You can complete a leisurely walk or cycle along the canal. Or for the more adventurous why not try the National Cycle Route running from Padstow to Bath.
The canal has its own wetland habitat, with clear water supported by plants, insects, fish and birds. There are vast supplies of pike, carp, bream and tench, with kingfishers and herons overhead.
There is also an outdoor tennis club, with five courts, including three Astroturf floodlit courts only minutes away from the holiday cottages.
We are only a short distance from Junction 24 of the M5 and the A38, Bristol International airport is less than thirty minutes drive and the nearby train station at Bridgwater offers links to all major rail networks.
