Prepare for a fishing holiday

Please note that to go on a fishing holiday in the UK, a rod license is required. You can apply for the rod license online or go to your local post office.

During your Somerset fishing holiday we will provide a secure lock-up to store your fishing tackle. Please bring your own fishing gear or visit the Somerset Angling store in Bridgwater, only a short drive away. The combination of a tranquil, large and active lake and useful fishing storage makes it the perfect place for a family, couple or individual fishing holiday in Somerset. Fishing is only available to guests of Lakeview, included in the price of the accommodation and open all year round. The exclusivity of this means that you don’t have to worry about being inhibited by competitive Anglers.

How far is the lake from our holiday accommodation?

The private lake is only a few metres away from our self catering holiday accommodation in Somerset, so a short stroll from comfy sofas and king size beds. The majority of our holiday homes have views of the lake from the rear bedroom windows and the al-fresco patios mean you can relax and take in the scenic views. Also, with the private lake being so close to our holiday homes you can even nip back to the homes for lunch and a cup of tea!

How to book a fishing holiday in Somerset?

Fishing is included in the price of accommodation, please check the availability of our self catering accommodation in Somerset before booking. When the booking form is requested, please indicate on the form as to whether the lake will be required for fishing. Once you have submitted the booking form and paid for your holiday accommodation we will contact you with a confirmation. Please note that a rod licence is mandatory and should be presented upon arrival.
